The night ends again at 6:50 AM, but we are rewarded with the most beautiful sunrise I have ever seen. The sky is literally on fire, and we can't get enough of it. After the amazing starry sky the night before, now this... a wonderful start to my birthday.
Before breakfast, we secure everything in the vehicle and head towards Methana, a small peninsula in the Peloponnese. The drive there takes us over the mountains again... a beautiful route that I get to traverse. These views! The scenery changes at every turn, and of course, the sun adds its touch. There is supposed to be a parking space at the harbor where camping is not forbidden. So, for one night, it's perfect. After our late breakfast, we take a stroll through Methana, a peninsula with a volcano. We just walk on... always uphill, and we arrive in a neighborhood you would want to move to immediately. Such tranquility and pure sunshine. Okay, in 104 degrees Fahrenheit, I wouldn't really want to be here. We are happy to meet a kindred spirit... a donkey stands in a garden and looks at us... so cute... I love donkeys.. such adorable animals. Unfortunately, he is a quiet fellow and does not delight us with the sound of a honking IA and the heartrending
