It starts at 5 o'clock in the morning with the minibus towards Gambia. The border controls turned out to be a big challenge, especially for Fams, who primarily discussed with the people and guided us through the whole journey. One border - 3 different checkpoints with immigration point, PCR control and customs. With good stamps, we went through constant police checkpoints towards Banjul, the capital of Gambia. Since we still had to cross the Gambia River, it meant waiting again, observing how Fams and Aplay discussed with a lot of people, paid money to be able to take the next ferry. By now, everyone is tired from the journey, the heat, and the constant stops. However, I found it very interesting to observe and not have to organize for once.
When we finally got on the ferry, the mood of our travel group also improved. There were only 2-3 hours left until Abene. Finally, at 7:30 p.m., we arrived.
