Marstrand 23.6.2019

Nai-publish: 23.06.2019

Since there is no other harbor between Stenungsund and Marstrand, where the car is parked, we wanted to go back to Marstrand today. Or actually to Nordön, because we could have parked there better. But more on that later.

Since the weather was very good again, I rode my bike again. However, the route was not nice, it went along a lot of major roads, and probably half of the 39 km without a bike path. Especially on the last 10 km it was quite tricky, as there were a lot of cars that wanted to go to Marstrand. And then headwind 🙁.

Anyway, I was already very early in Nordön at the harbor, and a call to Klaus revealed that he still needed 1.5 hours. So I thought, I can already pick up the car. So another 7 km with headwind. Then back to Nordön by car, unfortunately Klaus had to realize that he cannot dock in that harbor.

That's why he decided to continue to Marstrand, and I went back with the car. Luckily, I still had my parking ticket!

I arrived just in time at the harbor to help with mooring. Although I was glad that a German sailor was there and could help better than me.

After a short break, we wanted to take a walk. I was only prepared for a short walk and dressed accordingly. Then the path led up the cliffs, and I really wanted to know what kind of path it was. Klaus didn't feel like it anymore and went back.

But Paula and I had the best walk of our whole vacation! The path led through the rocks, was hardly marked, you had to constantly search for where the path continues. Sometimes climbing was required, and sometimes I was afraid to continue because it was quite steep.

In the end, there was a kind of tunnel where you could hardly fit through.

After one and a half hours, Paula and I were exhausted, but it was really worth it!

In the evening, we ate in the same restaurant as last Sunday, at Shanti Shanti. Delicious again.
