Hi Fortaleza, Good Morning Salvador

Nai-publish: 23.04.2018

On Friday the 20th of April it was time to leave Fortaleza. We headed to Salvador. Currently, I'm sitting on the plane and writing :D We packed, had a last lunch with Samuel and said goodbye to him. Thank you very much Samuel! It was always nice with you and we felt at home!

When we arrived in Salvador, Silvia picked us up from the airport. She took us to her home and we went to a pizzeria. I had a delicious pizza with Parma ham! In the evening, we went to bed early because we had to get up early the next day.

On Saturday the 21st of April, Silvia and her family took us to a barbecue party of their team in the morning. We ate and drank all day. The girls also played a round. In the evening, a friend drove us to the apartment. We live in a shared flat with 3 other women and it's very nice.

On the 22nd of April, we only went shopping and continued planning our journey.

On the 23rd of April, things got a bit more adventurous :D We set off to the old town without speaking a word of Portuguese and with the bus. The bus driver chatted with us and we just shrugged and hoped that the bus would take us where we wanted to go :D

Eventually, we just got off the bus and tried to orient ourselves. We first went to a café and ordered two milk coffees using gestures. Then we kept walking and went into a big building with many small souvenir stands. I bought a bracelet and a magnet :)

Directly across from there was another big building with a large elevator. This elevator connects the lower and upper parts of the city. However, we didn't know what to expect up there. So we paid 0.063 cents and went up :D Up there, it was like another world. There was a beautiful view of the sea, many small colorful streets, and viewpoints. We bought an ice cream and sat in the sun enjoying the view. Then we strolled through the streets and had another coffee. It was already 3 o'clock and we wanted to slowly return to the apartment :)

We took a taxi and showed him the address. Never has a person talked so much with me and I nodded and said "Ah ok" so many times, even though I didn't understand a word :D But he was nice :D He drove us to the apartment and we quickly went shopping and made ourselves a noodle soup :)
