Thursday and Friday, February 28th and 29th, Ho Chi Minh

The transfer to the airport was actually scheduled for 9:30 a.m., but we were informed by our tour guide that the flight was delayed and that we could stay in the hotel in the meantime and not leave until 11:30 a.m. We found this very thoughtful, but unfortunately our flight was postponed for another 2 hours. We now know Da Nang airport very well and I have tested the massage chairs enough.
We arrive in Ho Chi Minh in the evening and drive to the hotel during rush hour. We quickly notice some differences to Hanoi: the streets are wider, they drive faster, there are more wealthy people, numerous luxury brands, luxurious shopping centers, many banking institutions, etc. Our travel guide recommends an Italian restaurant, which we use for dinner It's also going to be our favorite Italian restaurant because we're going back the next day.
Many hotels have a rooftop bar, including ours, and breakfast is served there too - very nice.
Today we are guide-free and download a scavenger hunt for Saigon. We start quite early because it is 36 degrees. We are also brave and book a moped taxi to get to the starting point - fun, smooth and costs €1 per person. The scavenger hunt is well thought out, we see pretty much all the sights. We also learn that Saigon has around 12 million inhabitants and 7.2 million mopeds, as well as that the main post office was built by Gustav Eiffel. Johanna ultimately wins with a higher number of points.

We spend the afternoon in coffees and rooftop bars, where we enjoy the view of the skyline.
