Today we had to get up early again because we had a whopping 500 KM on the agenda.
At 7 o'clock we set off towards Joshua Tree National Park, which we finally reached after a good 3 hours!
Upon arrival, we first obtained the Interagency Pass, which saved us the waiting time at the entrances to the next national parks.
Now we went through Joshua Tree Park. Our first stop was Hidden Valley, where we took a little one-mile walk.
The next stop was Baker Dam, which we also visited after a short break with a little walk.
This was also supposed to be the last walk as it felt like there wasn't a single shady spot in the park.
Finally, on the agenda was the Keys View observation point. From there you have a fantastic view of Joshua Tree National Park.
Around 2 PM, we headed towards Lake Havasu City.
The journey felt like 150 miles straight on Highway 62.
No people, no cars, just an endless long road!
Before we went to the hotel, we made a short stop at Walmart and bought some snacks and drinks in reserve.
After a long day, we finally arrived in Lake Havasu. After a short photo stop at the replica of the London Bridge, we went to the hotel.
After check-in, we went to Pizza Hut, where we enjoyed delicious pizza:)
Tomorrow awaits Route 66. We also want to enjoy the sunset at the Grand Canyon! 😍
