Oh wie schön ist es bei Dir! Wir können nicht vor die Türe: Regen Sturm und Dunkelheit!!! Man würde am liebsten auswandern ! Und zwar auf der Stelle! Genieße jede Stunde!Nai-publish: 03.01.2018
Customs House was the Sydney Customs Office until 1990. Today, it houses a large lending library with alternating exhibitions. On the fifth floor, there is a restaurant with a stunning view of the Harbour Bridge, Circular Quay, and Opera House. Today, I had the pleasure of having dinner at this fantastic restaurant. I had a salad with chicken and a Chardonnay white wine from the Hunter Valley. There is also an interesting exhibition at the moment called 'Culture under attack'.
The pictures show the tragic destruction of important buildings, monuments, and objects. For example, during World War II, Dresden and London were attacked, and in modern times, Syria, Iran, and so on.
Afterwards, I went to the Museum of Contemporary Art Australia (MCA) which has a permanent exhibition called 'Today tomorrow yesterday' featuring works by over 40 artists. It shows the impact of the past on today's art. Due to a fire alarm, all visitors had to evacuate the museum and I was unable to finish viewing the exhibition. I'm not sure if it was a drill or a real emergency, but all the visitors remained calm and were directed to the emergency exits. Afterwards, I walked across the Harbour Bridge to the other side. I took the train and the bus back. Tomorrow, I will be going to the Blue Mountains, so I have to wake up early. I will report back on how it was. Roswitha
