Day 2 (Kruger National Park)

Today we want to go to Kruger National Park. We start at the Malelane Gate, take the Crocodile Route, then Lower Sabi, and exit at the Kruger Gate.

I really didn't expect to see so many animals - giraffes, elephants, buffalos, antelopes, lions, monkeys, hippos, hyenas, zebras. So we often stop and ultimately struggle to be at the exit by closing time (6 PM).

The sun sets at 6 PM and then it gets dark quickly, pitch dark!!! We still have to drive a strenuous 50 km to our hotel: the roads are bad, there are many pedestrians walking along the road (that you can't see), the lighting in our car is poor, there are cars that drive without any headlights, cows cross the road, and last but not least - South Africa has left-hand traffic....

I'm really glad when we finally arrive at the hotel. From now on, we'll be back at the hotel by 6:00 PM at the latest 😁.
