On the first day in P.E., we ended up in the Addo Elephant Park, which is about 30 minutes away. There, we had the last chance on this trip to see elephants, giraffes, and other animals. Unlike the Kruger National Park, this park is significantly smaller and offers less biodiversity. Especially lions, leopards, or rhinos are rare here. However, there are a lot of elephants and they move around in large herds in the park. So on the first waterhole, we saw a herd of about 50 elephants cooling off. In addition to the numerous elephants, we saw giraffes, zebras, warthogs, and springboks. Overall, it's not as diverse as the Kruger National Park, but still worth a visit, especially for those who want to observe elephants up close.
