Welcome back in Germany

Today just a short tour. The destination was the Königsee, about 90 km away from Obertauern. I started after a good breakfast (thank God the company mentioned yesterday was still not awake) at a cozy 8 degrees Celsius. It had been raining all night, and there was also snow in slightly higher areas. That's all I needed, a little bit of snow driving in the middle of summer.

There were also occasional short showers in between.

The alpine panorama was impressive when the clouds allowed it, but also the play between the clouds and the peaks.

I somehow missed the border crossing into Germany, or it simply wasn't there, no Germany sign, no station, nothing. I was very surprised that the town signs suddenly became yellow and the license plates had a German identification.

The Königsee was quickly reached, the tent that was soaked two days ago was quickly set up and furnished.

Daniela, who is traveling by bike, has also taken up quarters here. We will spend the next 2 days here together before I finally make my way to Lohne/Vechta. I'm looking forward to my own bed 😀
