What a lake

After spending so much time in the car the past few days, we decided to take it easy today. We started the day by watching TV in the morning. Then we wanted to be active and went for a hike to a lake. On the way there, we got hungry and stopped at a small sandwich hut. There, we had incredibly delicious Lomo sandwiches, which you can find everywhere in Argentina. If we were living in Argentina, we wouldn't know if we would need any other staple food besides sandwiches!

Feeling energized, we continued our journey to the hike. The trail took us from one lake to another through a small forest. The hike itself wasn't particularly impressive, but the destination, the lake, definitely was. In the beginning, the kids didn't want to go on this hike and expressed their discontent from time to time, but then they didn't want to leave the lake anymore. Mattis would have given up watching the Dortmund vs. Liverpool soccer game in order to keep playing by the lake, even though he had been talking about nothing else for days. However, it started raining again, so we reluctantly left this beautiful view and walked back to the car. When we arrived at our cabin, we took off our wet clothes, got into bed, and watched the soccer game, which we managed to catch just in time.
