Conquering Mount Augustus (largest rock in the world).

The last night was even colder than the previous ones. At the tourist information they mentioned 3 degrees. Then off to conquer Mount Augustus! However, the brakes had some problems. Michael tried to fix them, but couldn't do it quickly. Meanwhile, we talked about what annoyed us about each other. After a clarifying conversation, everything was better and we were ready.

We stopped several times because Jana wasn't feeling well. She wasn't used to sports anymore. It probably also had to do with the fact that we didn't drink and eat much. After she ate and drank, she was much better. Proudly arrived at the summit, we had lunch. This was also the only place where there was cell phone reception. Back to the tourist information and boiled the tap water again, as it comes from a dam. Apparently, we broke the kettle. Oops!

Then on the road. We had to take a huge detour because a road was closed due to flooding. Since we were driving at night, we also had a flat tire. When jacking up the car, the jack slid to the side. Fortunately, Michael had placed two under the car, otherwise it would be mud now and jacking up the car would have been impossible. We simply slept on the roadside, we had had enough. Second spare tire broken. Hardly any water, hardly any food. No cell phone reception. Brakes not working properly, the engine jerking. The girls had the idea that we would die in the Outback. Usually, hardly any cars pass by here, as it is only a dirt road in the middle of nowhere.
