Good evening ladies and gentlemen,
Warm greetings from Yangshuo, located 8789 km away 😊 When we arrived (at 5 PM), it was 27 degrees 😛☄️
And how about you?❄️☃️⛄️🌧
This morning at nine, we set off (Jasna once again snoozed the alarm for so long that it eventually gave up) and took a leisurely ride through Chongqing for €5 💸💸 basically for free.
We were actually expecting an overly large train station (apparently the second largest in China), but by now we are used to more impressive things and found it rather tiny.
Afterwards, we zipped across on the high-speed train for 5 hours. For the first time, we weren't seated together and were separated by an aisle 😭😭 The thanks for that: Jasna sitting next to a stinky individual and Lara next to an old guy who had his legs on her seat and kept staring! 🙄 (usually we are used to people staring, but this one was relentless, only 50cm from our faces). 😡
Well, at least there were cute little kids; one of them wanted to eat Lara's food, and the other thought we were cool only after we returned his super cool airplane with sound effects ✈️🚀
(Oh by the way, our taxi in Chongqing was running on fumes and we ended up at the gas station... we don't know what he filled up with... it looked like gas? 😂 in any case, we had to get out because of the possibility of an explosion 💥)
Once we arrived in Yangshuo, we had to reject the advances of 10 guys. They all wanted to drive us around 😛😂
But then, there he was, calm and composed, holding a small sign - our relaxed hero of the evening - a personal pickup service to our hostel.
We experienced a bit of culture shock at first - he was only driving at a leisurely 40 km/h and was very polite (we are used to different driving styles). The people here are complete opposites of the people in the big cities we've been to. No rush, everyone stops, and everyone smiles at you 🤷🏽♀️ Just nice here.
Then we quickly threw our trash bags into the room (once again, lucky find) and headed out to West Street.
It is also called "Foreigner Street," and now we understand why.
Incredibly beautiful little village (310,000 inhabitants) with an insanely lively Foreigner Street and stunning landscapes (more on that tomorrow 😛).
Finally, we have a full belly and know what we ate ☝🏽😂 (Afterwards, we had a short photo shoot with 6 Chinese women, of course, each one got an individual photo with us 📸)
Now we're just chilling on the rooftop terrace and treating ourselves to a weird mix of dish soap and Sprite (it was supposed to be wine 🤷🏽♀️🤷🏽♀️)
Tomorrow, we will ride some bikes (each of us at least two) and enjoy the scenery 😛⛰
So take care, don't freeze, we will be wearing shorts tomorrow 🤙🏽🤙🏽🤙🏽🌞
