Every time again, Alsace is a surprise for me.
We actually wanted to stay in Germany, but the mild climate and the better weather forecast made us change course to the west instead of continuing towards the Rhön. (But we will definitely catch up on that!)
There are many reasons why I always love Alsace. The first reason is the mild climate, the second reason is the hospitality, the third reason is the good food and the quality of the food.....
It continues with great walks, the vineyards, such nice villages and towns, the people who are always open-minded, possibly also wine tastings, the surprising flora and fauna including wild garlic, and the fact that camping in France is so wonderfully relaxed.
We have two dogs, sometimes we get strange looks on campsites because they are black and relatively large. In France, it's just a matter of putting them on a leash and that's it!
C'est la vie!
This time we are dedicated to the castles, be it Falkenstein, Spesbourg, Ortenbourg and Ramstein, it was always great!
We only viewed the rather disfigured Haut Koenigsberg from a distance....
