We drove on for short stops at Rossiter Bay, where the signs said there would be bird watching - no birds, just some picnic place. Then we stopped at Thistle Cove for some good views of the coast and the stone formations around. The last stop of the day was Hellfire Bay, which has a beautiful beach with turquoise water as well, just too cold weather to go for a swim....
This day we made it just in time back to Esperance to enter the ice-cream shop next door to get Stuart some ice-cream so he is not too disappointed about the missing kangaroos at the beach.
As the streets in the other national park around Esperance, the Cape Arid National Park, were closed due to the wet and rainy weather in the last few days, we decided to give it another try to find kangaroos at Lucky Bay. Well, at first the car got bogged in the sand and we had to dig ourselves out of the sand and then, despite waiting for a few more hours, there were still no kangaroos...
