Today, a long and winding road led us to Mount Cook 🏔, the highest mountain in New Zealand. Although we could already see the mountain from afar, it took at least another hour until we were there. We drove past Lake Pukaki, which reminded us a lot of Lake Tekapo from yesterday. The two lakes run parallel in a north-south direction and impress with their sky-blue water 💦
When we arrived at Mount Cook, thick clouds formed, but we still decided to take one of the hiking routes - luckily, because after a short time the sun came out and we were able to have lunch outside 🌞
In the evening, we checked into an Airbnb apartment again, with a very friendly and creative New Zealander as our landlord.
