One last time we are allowed to wake up with a sea view and have breakfast on our dream terrace. Then unfortunately we have to say goodbye to our paradisiacal domicile, although this is not so difficult, as we still have a great time ahead of us on Maui!
With our suitcases packed, we head to Kona Airport, and at 10:20 a.m. we leave the holy triathlon ground. Already on the approximately 20-minute flight, we are once again offered a lot of scenic beauty, and before we know it, we have ground under the plane's wheels again. If only we could have flown here so quickly from Germany.
Maui shows itself from its best side when we arrive, with radiant sunshine and even warmer than on Big Island.
We then pick up our rental car with our suitcases, we always book the smallest size (here we can choose from a range of cars). I am already looking for a suitable rental car for us from a distance when the employee, after we show her our form, suddenly points to the convertibles and says that we can choose freely from this range. I am confused, this must be a mistake, but then Mama shouts, 'That's the surprise' - and indeed, she has actually booked a convertible for the Hawaii finale - crazy...
And then we can choose between a Mustang and a Beetle in all possible colors. The decision is easy for us, I won't reveal too much yet, you will see it for yourselves in the pictures of the next few days! It is definitely a brand new car and perfect for us!
And I am allowed to drive the first few meters directly, a premiere for me and I have to say: I could really get used to it. Unique in radiant sunshine, the hair fluttering in the wind, the Ed Sheeran music turned up loud, 30 minutes along the sea - it's awesome!
When we arrive at our cottage, we are initially overwhelmed by the heat. It seems that no one has aired it out here for a while, and it takes a while for us to acclimatize and get some fresh air.
But unfortunately, the day doesn't turn out to be all sunny. Mama's laptop has finally given up the ghost - end of transferring pictures and end of pictures for the blog?
First, we take a walk on the beach, our first one on Maui. We admire the beautiful sunset, which is just as stunning as the ones on Big Island!
When we return, we unpack everything and I do everything I can to be able to post pictures on the blog. They somehow have to go directly from the camera to my iPad, and that's more difficult than I thought, because there is no USB port here. After a total of 2 hours and some nerves (Mama has to suffer from my frustration and ambition), it finally works. To everyone's joy :)
And now you can continue to be part of our dream trip, and we enjoy the first evening in our new domicile!
