I'm the first to get up around 8 a.m., later I meet the chef Ibrahim and we have coffee straight away. At 9 a.m. we have a rich breakfast and we leave at 10 a.m. Today the pace is moderate. The horses and luggage follow us to Camp 2. However, we observe some horses with injuries to their legs that they sustained on the sharp-edged rock. Not nice. There are several other tour groups traveling with us on the mountain, including those from Iran and Russia. At around 2 p.m. we reach Camp 2 at an altitude of 4100 m. The horses just throw off their luggage here and run back to Camp 1. Camp 2 is much easier than the first camp. Each provider has their own Camp 2, the locations are widely scattered. We move into our slightly smaller tents and rest. It can only be endured in the sleeping bags as it is very cold. We drink a lot. At 5 p.m. dinner again and off to the tents. As always on big climbs, I can't sleep and roll around in my sleeping bag. What will tomorrow bring?
