Following the first (and successful) shopping tour of the vacation at Eaton Center - Canada's third largest shopping mall - there was a visit to the opera including a free concert. Take some drums and hot African rhythms. A super great concert with demanding dance performance. It's just so much more fun when you see the dancers' love for dance.
From one culture to the next: Chinatown was on the agenda. Here I discovered the typical souvenir shops for the first time - I had already wondered where they were hiding here.
Right next door is Kensington Market. A cute, small unconventional neighborhood where there is something for everyone. Lots of small bars and cafes of different nationalities as well as numerous boutiques and delicatessens - here you can find everything your heart desires and much more. The beautiful Victorian houses are also worth seeing - although often in need of renovation, that's what gives this neighborhood its charm.
After more or less a pure shopping day, a little break was urgently needed before the girls went to BarChef for delicious and funky cocktails at the end of the day. Dinner afterwards in Chinatown - we overdid it a bit with the order. Lunch for tomorrow is secured.
At this point, a big thank you to all the diligent readers and especially the many positive feedbacks that I have received so far. This makes it twice as much fun to let you participate in my journey.
Tomorrow it will continue... The daily program is already set. I'm making great progress with my to-do list.
