The Quilotoa Loop is a 3-day hike to the Quilotoa Crater Lake.
On the first day, we started the first stage in the afternoon and reached our first accommodation after just 3 hours. The Lulu Lama Hostel, which I have now chosen as the best hostel.
The huge Bernese Mountain Dog Baloo welcomed us upon our arrival, and we could immediately jump into the jacuzzi and pamper ourselves in the sauna. Since we liked it here, we decided to book another night and on the next day, after a short hike, we visited the cheese factory. Where we could see the entire process of one of their cheese varieties and even taste it at the end.
The next morning we continued on the 5-hour hike to the next town. The landscape was beautiful and we even had a little sunshine. Along the way, we also came across a cave which we explored, although it looked much more spectacular from a distance. In the afternoon, we reached our next hostel and rested a bit in the hammocks.
The last day was the longest and most exhausting. As it was constantly up and down and in the end, we had to climb up to the volcano. But it was worth it, the view was breathtaking.
