Dear ones, dear ones!
At 5:30 am this morning, it started in good old Germany - and at 2:30 am (German time) I finally, finally arrived in Jerry's Motel in L.A.
And I said it before, the Frankfurt airport was not boring. Here in the USA, as a visitor, there's even more to do when you arrive. And that mainly consists of waiting in line or being stuck in traffic ;-)
First of all, we couldn't leave the plane because there was a medical emergency on board and the ambulance had to come. So we all had to stay seated.
Then we went through endless lines at the customs machines. Something like a summer vacation weekend at the roller coaster in Europa-Park ;-)
And then through another zigzag line at immigration control.
That's when I asked myself, how many photos and fingerprints do they actually need from me.
Well, at least the suitcase was already on the conveyor belt...
With the suitcase, I then took the shuttle bus to the car rental. That was different: not waiting in line, but taking a number ;-)
And then I stood in line with my rental car in the rush hour towards downtown and Hollywood.
Do you know how GREAT a bed can be? :D
I still have a little time to rest a bit and write something down. Then tonight, the first concert is happening:
Air Supply at the Saban Theater in L.A.
A bit more 'elegant' - just right for tonight.
Afterwards, despite the city traffic noise and cardboard walls with single-pane windows, I will sleep very well :D
