Big 3 out of 5

The first day in Kruger National Park is coming to an end and it has been to our fullest satisfaction.

After starting the day early and driving about 80 km to the 'Orpen' gate, we were immediately greeted by a few Kudus and Impalas right after entering the Kruger National Park.

But what happened next, nobody expected...

On the way from Orpen through the 'Talamati Bushveld Camp' and 'Satara' to 'Letaba', we saw about 30 elephants and just as many giraffes by evening. Almost impossible to see in the wild!

Unfortunately, we only saw the other two of the Big Five (lion and buffalo) about 50 meters away from the road.

Not many people have the luck to check off 3 out of 5 on the first day... Let's hope that the next days will be just as good 😉
