2nd Day - Vancouver

Rain, rain, rain ☔️.

As insiders (and now we too) know, the umbrella is one of the most important utensils to bring on a trip to Vancouver. Because together with Seattle, which is only a stone's throw away by local standards, the city is one of the rainiest areas on the North American Pacific coast.

Fortunately, the hotels here are well prepared and provide plenty of umbrellas. 😊☔️

After a very moderate jet lag night with even less sleep, we walked to "Tableau" early in the morning, a French-inspired breakfast restaurant with very good and very expensive breakfast 🤣. However, we still have to get used to the local prices.

After a little break, we took an Uber to the wonderful Granville Public Market, a covered market with countless stalls offering food from different countries. A great place. Especially when it's "raining cats and dogs"☔️. With the help of an Aqua-Bus and Uber, we returned to the hotel to watch the rest of the rainy afternoon in our room on the 19th floor of the Masters ⛳️ in Augusta.

And since golf makes you hungry 🤣, in the evening we visited "The Keg" Restaurant & Bar, where we toasted to my father's 108th birthday and once again completely underestimated the portions and therefore took a longer walk along the waterfront for digestion, before returning to the Paradox Hotel, which by the way is the second tallest building in Vancouver. Oh yeah… it didn't rain ⛅️😉👍🏻
