Arriving at the end of our road trip on the coast, in the future we go inland. Upon arrival, we first went up one of the many hills we wanted to go to the famous Lombard Street, which winds along a small part of the houses. On the way, we visited Bob's Donuts and treated ourselves to the best donuts in town, and that was no lie! At the end of Lombard Street, it went back downhill and Bene treated himself to a clam chowder in a bread bowl at Fisherman's Wharf. Of course, you can't miss Pier 39 with the sea lions! The evening program was then in Oakland at the Oakland-Alameda County Coliseum, a pre-season football game between the Raiders and the Detroit Lions. Unfortunately, the Raiders won... Go Broncos! Or maybe better like this, because the Raiders fans were not quite so polite companions.
