G'day Mate!
After 22 hours of travel, we arrived safely in Sydney. The first flight from Munich to Bangkok took 9.5 hours, and the second leg from Bangkok to Sydney took 8.5 hours. We arrived at our accommodation, Boardrider in Manly, around midnight. We settled into our 6-bed room, a very small, humid, stuffy room with 3 bunk beds. The upside is that there were no spiders and two fans to circulate the remaining oxygen in the room.
After a short night, we first went to Manly Beach. We strolled through the streets and took the ferry to Circular Quay in the late afternoon, then to Cremorne Point to secure a good spot for the upcoming fireworks. Success! We had a wonderful view of the Sydney Opera House and the Harbour Bridge. The fireworks were spectacular, fascinating, and overwhelming at the same time. A perfect start to our upcoming adventure.
The next day, we spent the entire day at Manly Beach, watching the surfers, enjoying the sun, feeling the sand between our toes, and the salty breeze.

Liebe Maria, liebe Vroni, wir wünschen euch ein frohes neues und vor allem aufregendes Jahr. Einen besseren Auftakt kann man sich ja wohl kaum wünschen mit dem tollen Feuerwerk. Wir sind schon gespannt was als Nächstes kommt…euer Zimmer ist auf jeden Fall schon mal der Hit 😂😂😂. Platzangst darf man da nicht haben 😉. Aber wenigstens keine Spinnen 😄Astrid
Liebe Maria und unbekannter Weise liebe Vroni, auch von mir ein gutes, neues Jahr. Jahreswechsel in einer anderen Welt- toll. Genießt in vollen Zügen das was kommt und paßt auf euch auf. Freu mich auf weitere "Geschichten", bis bald ;-)
