The Perito Moreno Glacier

... And there we stood in front of the mighty, bluish shimmering glacier: 70m high, 35km long and 5km wide. We could hardly believe the dimensions, so huge and impressive.

In the sunshine, we spent the whole day in the park and we couldn't stop marveling. In the afternoon, individual blocks of ice thundered into the water with a loud noise. Every time, the spectacle was breathtaking, loud and powerful.

One special feature is that Perito Moreno is one of the few known glaciers that is still growing continuously. It is therefore considered "stable". I even managed to record a video of individual icebergs breaking off.
