We wake up after a pretty good night's sleep and see blue sky through the roof window😄
We stop at Mc Donald's for a first coffee and a croissant. Here you can get the Italian set menu at a ridiculously low price.
Then we start our trip towards Bolzano today. We want to play golf at an altitude of 1,250m. The course is supposed to be fantastic.
We make a short detour to Deutschhofen and then to the pilgrimage site Madonna Di Pietralba. A very beautiful church and a well-known place of pilgrimage.
Maria Weißenstein (Italian Pietralba) is a place of pilgrimage in South Tyrol. It is located southeast of Bolzano at an altitude of 1,520m on the Regglberg near Petersberg, a fraction of Deutschnofen. In Maria Weißenstein there is a Servite monastery with the attached pilgrimage church Our Dear Lady.
The beginnings of Maria Weißenstein date back to 1553, when Mary appeared to the mountain farmer Leonhard Weißensteiner, according to tradition. As a thank you, he built a chapel where people could pray for help. This original chapel quickly became a place of pilgrimage for numerous pilgrims.
Here we take a coffee break with a beautiful view of the mountains.
In the afternoon we have booked a green fee at the Petersberg Golf Club. The course is really fantastically situated and in great condition.
Although the golf game doesn't get better because of it, at least there is a lot to see.
After we showered at the golf course (it was about time) we go to the restaurant to have something to eat.
Tasty cheese and spinach dumplings. The Aperol costs 4.50€ here....pretty cheap and pretty delicious.
We spend the night with this view in the parking lot of the golf club. It's so quiet here. 💤😴🥱
