Broken-Chair

The Broken Chair can be found directly in front of the gates of the UN on the Place de Nations. It symbolizes the desperate civilian population that is being killed or maimed by armed violence.

The monument is intended to encourage people to think and reflect on their own personality and responsibility. The Broken Chair was created by the famous sculptor Daniel Berset.
