Day 6 Castle of Monolithos

Today we went back to the west coast of Rhodes. The goal was the 'Castle of Monolithos', a castle ruin with a fantastic view over the sea. The drive was already impressive and it went up and down until it actually only went up. The car was parked on the side of the road and then it was just walking from there. Hiking at 35 degrees is quite exhausting, especially uphill, but it was worth it. On the ruin of a rock castle stands a small cathedral where we light a candle. That's something special. The view far over the sea enchants me and I could sit and marvel for hours.

After this breathtaking view, we go back down to the car and walk along the sea back to the hotel where we relax by the pool in the afternoon.

Today we booked the BBQ restaurant and will be spoiled with a good meal.
