Departure to Frankfurt

In the evening, we sat in our room with three guys from the men's team. At 8:30 PM local time in Perth, we took the car (from the boys) to the airport.

When we arrived there, everything happened very quickly. The check-in had already been done. Dropping off the luggage took just under 5 minutes, and then we went straight to the security checks where, as always, I had to open the coach's case first. When the security officer gave her okay, we proceeded to the lobby where we sat relaxed for about 30 minutes.

Boarding started at 9:20 PM and the plane took off almost on time at 10:55 PM towards Doha, where we landed at 5:30 AM.

By the time we got off the plane and arrived at the next gate, it was already 6:00 AM.

Off to the security check and open the suitcase again? No - this time it was simply allowed through. The first time in 2 years that I didn't have to open it during a check.

I also used the time to read the memory book the girls wrote for me. Very sweet and great thank-you notes.

Boarding for Frankfurt started at 6:30 AM. So I have another half an hour to write this right now.

One more flight and then I'll be back in Germany. Enjoying the beautiful landscapes from the air again.

We landed in Frankfurt with a half an hour delay, and then we had to wait almost 45 minutes for our luggage.

From there, we went out into the cold and headed home.

I'm back safely in Germany.
