Stellenbosch / PicNic Warwick Wine Estate

Today we were a bit out and about in Stellebosch, visited the knick-knack shop 'Oom Samiw se Winkel' on Dorp Street. A paradise for collectors of curiosities.

Then we visited Hilda, Claudia Grob's First Mother, and delivered the greetings, as instructed. Through Hilda's son, we learned interesting facts about pearls (freshwater and saltwater pearls).

Then it was time to order an Uber, which took us to Warwick Wine Estate, where we had pre-ordered a picnic.

Just cool, sitting on the blanket, looking into the distance, and enjoying delicacies from the picnic basket (this time it was a wine box). Add a bottle of matching wine and the world is in order.

In the evening, we went back to the Wijnhuis for an aperitif and ended the day with a glass of MCC (SA champagne) and a gin and tonic.
