Stellenbosch (Dornier Wine Estate and Tokara)

Today we took it easy, after breakfast at Twice Central we did some small shopping in the center of Stellenbosch.

Shortly before noon, Uber safely took us to Dornier Wine Estate, where we decided to do a wine tasting. But we took our time and enjoyed the wine, the surroundings, and a cold platter (charcuterie and cheese). Uber brought us back to our accommodation around 3:00 PM.

After a short power nap, I called my mom, it was her birthday today, and quickly called my in-laws as well. Then it was time to get ready for the evening, a table was waiting for us at Tokara.

As always, Uber took us there safely and reliably. We enjoyed an aperitif on the terrace, with a magnificent view over the Stellenbosch valley, with Table Mountain in the background.

The four-course meal was exquisite and well cooked, down-to-earth but with a fine touch. The wine pairing was excellent with the courses. With the wonderful evening atmosphere and the beautiful light, it was a successful evening. Uber took us back to our accommodation safely.
