Don't expect anything and you will be maximally surprised!

5 a.m. breakfast and off we go. Even before we officially entered, wild dogs came towards us, a rarity, and barely 10 minutes later there were two lionesses and an adult male lying in the grass. There's the open jeep, you sit in it and you can't help but be amazed. After what felt like 648492852729 pictures we made it to the gate and then it really started. An abundance of zebras, elephants, kudos, wildebeests, vultures and eagles were around us, some with and some without young.

But reptiles such as crocodiles and turtles could also be admired in the rivers. A huge gang of hippos also bathed in a large waterhole…

The whole thing is rounded off with a water buffalo, dwarf mongooses, baboons and an ibex.

A multitude of brightly colored birds in the sky. Shortly before leaving the park we saw a few hyenas and then we went back to our small, round and colorful houses and into the cool pool to end the day with a braai.
