Hello everyone,
since Tuesday, I took a big step. From August 7th to December 23rd, I am (mostly) in Tampere, Finland 🇫🇮
The first few days were all about organizing, translating and orienting myself 😁
I live 20 minutes away from the city center in a student dormitory. I share a flat with three other girls. Besides my 'Kingsize bed' with a width of about 50 cm, I can't complain about my new realm.
After an exhausting first day on Tuesday with a white sausage breakfast and farewell at the airport, I flew by plane to Helsinki. From there, I continued by train to Tampere. My mentor, a Finn who is responsible for me, picked me up at the airport. So I already made the first contact.
Yesterday, I ventured into the city for the first time together with my mentor. Many new impressions in a very fascinating language! Of course, a visit to the university was a must! It looks very inviting and friendly. I'm curious if studying there is more fun 😁
I spent today alone in Tampere doing some sightseeing. The view from the observation tower 'Pyynikki' shows the city of Tampere and the two large lakes 'Näsijärvi' and 'Pyhäjärvi'.
This evening, I'll go to the city for the first time for 'a' drink ;)
All in all: I'm doing well and I'm in the process of orienting myself.
In this sense: Cheers, See you soon! (or also: Prost and servus 🙋🏼♀️)
Your
Carina
