Day 21 * Montsant

Morning: Falset (Priorat– Catalonia) * Evening: Cornudella de Montsant (Province of Tarragona)

To find a beautiful breakfast spot with a view, we leave Falset very early. We drive the winding road to Porrera and up to Cornudella de Montsant.

The landscape is incredibly beautiful. Green forests, with the Montsant rock walls in the background. In between, the vineyards: arranged in terraces with dry stone walls, they create gentle waves along the mountain slopes. Olive trees in between. A piece of land touched by grace.

In Cornudella, we buy fresh bread and stroll through the lively village. Everything here revolves around wine growing.

Just two more kilometers and we have found the perfect breakfast spot: the parking lot at the dam of Pantà de Siurana. The lake has a very low water level. The remaining water shimmers green-blue in the morning sun. It is so warm and beautiful that we spend the whole day here, just lounging around.

A wonderful place and for us the perfect spot at the moment. In the afternoon, we have truffle cheese, tonic, and olives, and we thoroughly enjoy our vacation here in Catalonia.

In the evening sun, we take a stroll along the lake and the dam. Then we drive back to Cornudella de Montsant. There, we park the camper in the village and stroll through the small, narrow streets of the old town. It's quite lively here. Obviously, the region is a mecca for climbing tourists. There are several restaurants, so we decide to try a bottle of the delicious Montsant wine.
