28.10.2019 Caribbean beach

We tried our luck to visit the 45-minute walk away Caribbean beach on our own. The path became so muddy that we gave up. Instead, we had a delicious lunch in the village. On the way back to the hostel, an ant bit me on the foot, which was a painful experience.

In the afternoon, we started the nature tour arranged by the hostel. We rode on the back of a motorcycle to a village where a boat was waiting. We went up the river to the Caribbean coast. Along the way, we saw monkeys and various birds. When we arrived at the beach, a small campfire was set up, and we stayed there until dark. Then we continued by boat. Our guide looked for caimans that now surfaced in the darkness. He caught some smaller ones by hand. Afterwards, we returned to the hostel.
