Roscoff

After it gets quite cloudy the next morning, we feel like going for a stroll in town.
Roscoff is the next destination, here there are ferries to England and Ireland, and around the harbor there are many nice streets and houses.
A special reddish onion is grown in the area of the municipality. It was so famous already in the last century that the men of the city exported the onions by bicycle. These onion cyclists were given the nickname Johnnies, and there is even a museum dedicated to them, which of course closes promptly upon our arrival. Timing is everything.
These Johnnies from France traveled to England overland and, according to legend, not only delivered the onions to the housewives.
