At Eyries, the Beara Way branches off from the Ring of Beara

We arrived in Kilmakilloge at a small parking lot.

From here, the holy Kilian travelled to Rome in the year 686, from where the Pope sent him to Franconia to convert the Franks to Christianity. He landed in Würzburg, where he was murdered in 689.
