Next stop is Cape Espichel, a complex from the 18th century that includes a beautiful ancient church Ingreja do Nossa Senhora do Cabo, accommodations for guests and pilgrims, and the remains of a dilapidated opera house and theater. The former king, as a patron, enjoyed artistic performances.
Adjacent to it is a truly beautiful lighthouse, where we will park our car and explore the rest on foot.
After the lighthouse, there is another old military site to see.
