At Pacific Coast Highway you meet people from all over the world

10.5. - 14.5.

We have been on the road with some other cyclists for four days now. It was a great group! Sarah from England, Marie-Claude from Canada (Quebec), Andrew from San Diego, and Sam from Portland.

They were all traveling individually, starting at different places and ending their journey elsewhere. However, Markus and I were the only ones traveling through multiple countries by bike.

It was really fun not just traveling as a couple for a change. You can tell how other bikers plan their days, how they shop, and what they carry on their bikes (or don't carry).

While everyone else apparently takes a stop for lunch and enjoys their packed lunch, we prefer to keep riding steadily during the day and treat ourselves to a bigger breakfast and dinner. Somehow all the cyclists always eat cereal bars or fruit in between.
