Christmas Eve + Visit | Week 12 | 18.12-24.12.23

I worked again from Monday to Thursday. On Wednesday there was a barbecue on the construction site. On Friday, my first day of vacation, I went surfing and spent the rest of the day on the beach. Elliott and Lena arrived in the evening. On Saturday we went to beach volleyball together and spent the day on the beach again. In the evening two more friends who I met in Sydney arrived in Gold Coast.

The morning of Christmas Eve started with a heavy thunderstorm. After we had bought all the things for Christmas dinner and the weather was still not good, we went to an indoor swimming pool for a bit.

Of course the dogs also freshened up.

Towards the evening we made our way to the beach. There are public grills everywhere, which is where we had our barbecue. The sun came out again just in time for the barbecue. Somehow, with 25 degrees and sunshine and a view of the sea, it didn't feel like Christmas Eve at all.

We spent the rest of the evening together at the pool in my shared apartment.
