already 2 weeks here

Hi

This week we were busy cleaning the cowshed all the time. And now it's really clean (probably cleaner than our Wwoofer House). We washed the walls and every little corner with water and soap.

The weather here is really crazy. On Tuesday, until 3:30 I said to myself: 'It's August. I don't need gloves and a hat!' And then I still went out and got gloves, a scarf, and a hat. But now I'm used to it, that I have to wear two sweaters and ski socks for breakfast so I don't freeze and that our bathroom is only about 10 degrees. Yesterday the weather got better again. You could already wear a sweater in the afternoon. And it really rains every day here. The good thing about it is that there are hardly any mosquitoes, flies, and other annoying insects here and you can work much better than when it's so warm.

Yesterday evening Sigbjörn and Kleo (who owns the farm) went on vacation. Now we have the house to ourselves! 4 Wwoofers also went home this week. Now we are only 2 Wwoofers, 3 'old' Wwoofers who have been working here for 1 or 2 years, and the neighbor who I think is employed here. And now I have my own room with a much better bed :) On the other bed, you could count each wire spring individually.

And now that there are no cows in the stable anymore, I have to take care of the birds again, which is not so much fun, especially when you are followed by 5 turkeys while feeding the ducks ;)

At the moment we are sitting here in the house, eating waffles and not really knowing what we want to do yet, because as always it's raining. There is some festival in Nesna that we could go to, but the entrance fee is about 300 kroner and we don't have that much money. Plan B was to go fishing with Nikolai (the neighbor) and his boat, but the weather is still too bad for that.
