Seeing lava once! I had this pleasure already in Guatemala and I could imagine this on Telica last week. On the Masaya complex, you can actually see lava boiling in the crater....

Without much dithering to the next colonial city and the next hostel. Very unusual to travel so quickly and 'comfortably' (and therefore expensive). Granada may have less swag than Leon, but it has some surprising moments. Drums at the harbor for several hours? Deaf-mute hammock workshop? Going up a church tower just like that? Very cool, Granada. Thank you!
