After the ruins of Mixco Viejo, we headed with big steps into the heart of Guatemala: Verapaz. Gravel roads and even more coffee nature, the traces of the German coffee immigrants of the (pre)last century are not only visible in name, but also in physiognomy. And the Rio Cahabon runs through the region, the most beautiful, clearest, turquoise-colored river, which is also responsible for (the natural wonder) Semuc Champey: natural splash cheeks connected by waterfalls. Unfortunately, the 'cocoa route' to Senahú was too bad, so I went to Santa Maria Cahabon to continue further east and arrive.
