Windhoek, Namibia

After a long journey, we arrive in Windhoek around noon. It is 35 degrees, phew!

We start with a nice car, and it takes about half an hour to get to the city. Always watch out for left-hand traffic!

In the hotel, two of us quickly jump into the pool.

And then we sleep nice and tight.

On the 2nd day, we go through our route again and receive a satellite phone, as there is no mobile reception on certain stretches of the route.

We take a short stroll around the city, everyone jumps into the pool, we have dinner at the famous Joe's Beerhouse, and buy water supplies. Tomorrow we will head north, with a stopover, and the day after tomorrow we will be in Etosha National Park, where we will finally encounter the (wild) animals! Lio in particular can't wait to see the animals.
