Farewell to Travemünde

This was the last day of our journey north; Tomorrow we will travel from Travemünde back to BW.

The day started quite pleasantly with online QIGONG on the terrace of the AJA Hotel with a view of the Baltic Sea. After half an hour the rain hit the roof above the entrance and made communication a little more difficult. The dogs inside the lounge were very interested in what movements the person in front of the window was making. It could be that a ball is being thrown. The dogs and their owners were well entertained.

The rain then let up a bit and we set out to purchase another umbrella. And then the rain front passed and the sun bathed everything in friendly, humid air. Our date at DUE FRATELLI took place under large parasols. Delicious Italian-style food – really great!

Then we took a walk over the fishing port and through the new development area there and further through less touristy parts of the town. Anyone who thinks that Northern Germany and Travemünde are perfectly flat is seriously mistaken. The “Rose” street leads to what is probably the highest point in the city. Good workout for the legs. And then the traveler has to go back down to the Trave. There are still a lot of people out and about here; At some restaurants people actually queued for a long time. We were magically drawn to the stand, always on the lookout for chicken gods and, if we were even luckier, a thunderbolt.

The Baltic Sea is still a friendly 19 degrees and is sloshing around. My friends had a very small chicken god for me. Then have a little nightcap in the hotel lounge and pack your bags. Unfortunately we will end this journey tomorrow.
