Winnie the Pooh discovers traveling

Traveling, why traveling? What's so special about traveling? Why should one travel?

For 16 years, I didn't know what traveling meant. Every year, I went to a small village in Italy with my family. Every year, during the summer holidays, to the same hotel with the same people there. For me, it was a place of comfort, trust, and family. A second home.

But as time went by, curiosity grew. We started going to Venice or other nearby cities. But another reason, of course, was that we got older. My mom always wanted to explore the surrounding cities, and now she could experience it with us. We were old enough to take care of ourselves, after all, we were almost adults.

Eventually, we saw everything that was nearby. Some call it coincidence, or I call it destiny. It was the last summer before I started vocational school. My uncle had a conference in Barcelona. So, I had a choice. Three weeks living with my aunt and uncle and one week in Barcelona, or staying in my familiar second home.

I chose Barcelona. I have to say it was sometimes quite difficult, but I don't regret it. In Barcelona, I realized that I need more of it. But the beginning was a bit slow.

2014 Barcelona, 2016 Italy again, and then in 2019, the first big trip overseas. But for me, it really started in the year of Corona, which is somehow ironic.
