.... we have treated ourselves to a 'rest day' today.

We started at Circular Quay with the ferry, passing by the Harbour Bridge and Sydney Opera, and so on .... what amazing views.

After a short walk through the pedestrian zone of Manly, we reached Ocean Beach .... excitement everywhere: people surfing, swimming, and sunbathing, sports lessons on the beach (surfing, volleyball), attentive lifeguards, and not least, paragliders landing - quite literally - right next to our beach towel. As Karsten diligently photographed this, he was asked if he could send the pictures to Bruce and Chris .... of course.

How beautiful it all is!

In the afternoon, we headed to the 'inland beach' of Manly, to Manly Cove. Here too, a similar scene, for example, Australian descendants of Portuguese playing beach soccer.

The return ferry ride again offered fantastic views over the so many bays in and around Sydney.

Another wonderful day!

PS: Again, like we noticed in New Zealand, the good infrastructure for locals and visitors alike was striking. Endless seating, free public toilets in many locations, frequently available public water fountains, and likewise, public showers at the beaches. In comparison, Germany is subpar.
