25.10. Old Town of Quito

By the way, our hotel is very cute.

Lots of small rooms can be accessed via balconies. The stairs lead to a small courtyard where you can sit in the sun. There is also a billiard room, which Milo loves.

After a hearty breakfast and a long conversation with a 71-year-old American, we walked through the Old Town of Quito. However, we couldn't see everything because a part of the Old Town was closed off. The president of Lima was visiting. If I understood correctly.

The old planetarium is also worth a visit. It houses great old instruments and is an interesting building.

Of course, we couldn't miss out on ice cream.

All the people we met were very nice and made a great effort to understand my broken Spanish. However, there are probably areas in Quito that are best avoided. We received several warnings. We didn't try to verify that.

Back at the hotel, we took a little siesta and then had German lessons. 🙄
