The weather in Yangshuo is certainly often rainy, but it makes it particularly difficult for us for the next few days: it rains constantly throughout the night and also during the day for longer periods. The positive thing is that we can sleep in without guilt. :)
On the third day in Yangshuo, we rent an electric scooter at the hotel after the rain has subsided a bit. Stef drives, I don't trust myself to do it. We drive to a 600-year-old bridge that is so hidden that we almost don't find it. When we finally found it, we have to giggle: the bridge is still used daily by the villagers, but it is not at all in focus. Much more important for the residents is that the bridge is one of the many opportunities to rent a bamboo raft for a river trip on the Yulong River. We are asked again and again: "bamboo?", but no one understands the answer "Dragon Bridge"...
After the visit, we go to Moon Hill, a limestone hill near the city of Yangshuo, which has a natural opening in the shape of a full moon. The ascent goes up several meters in stairs, but the view is worth it not only of Moon Hill, but the whole area!
All in all, a successful day where we hardly got wet. Almost the best thing that remains in my memory is Stef on the pink electric scooter (why didn't I take a photo of it?).
